Before signing up for the Junior Zookeeper program, we know you'll have lots of questions. So we've tried to answer a few of them here. If you have specific questions, please e-mail us and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

What do the program fees cover?
We use Junior Zookeeper fees to cover the costs of each program, which can include daily snacks, science supplies (such as specimens and lab supplies for dissections), crafts, and fees for guest speakers. Fees also help cover general program supplies such as T-shirts and Zookeeper notebooks. A portion of the fees also help support the animals at the non-profit.
What should we bring each day?
On your first day, you'll be asked to bring a series of forms, including a camper information form, medical form, and emergency contact sheet. Once your application is processed, you will receive these via email. (Or in the regular mail if no email address is supplied.)
Campers should bring any required prescription medicines, comfortable clothes, and a lunch. You may want to consider bug spray and sunscreen.
Is lunch provided?
We are not currently equipped to serve lunch to our campers. We ask that each camper bring their own bagged lunch. (We can refrigerate any items or heat them up at lunch time.)
Can I sign up on the day of a program?
We do ask for 24-hour notice so that we can have the appropriate number of supplies. If you would like to sign up for a class less than three days before it begins, please call the nature center directly at: 910-897-6624.
What types of animals will we see?
Noah's Landing is home to more than 60 species of animals, from a Grant's zebra to a two-toed sloth and fennec foxes. You can see the entire list at the Noah's Landing site.
Where are you located?
Noah's Landing is located in Harnett County, NC, just outside the town of Coats. We are approximately 40 minutes from Southeast Raleigh and Garner, and about one hour from North Raleigh. Before traveling to the farm, we recommend using the directions provided on our Web site instead of mapping programs like Mapquest.
